The Burna Boy VR Museum is a project I created as part of my motion graphics and video course, where I explored how music can be turned into an immersive digital experience. I wanted to move away from traditional formats and instead build something you can move through and feel. The idea was to design a virtual museum inspired by Burna Boy’s artistic journey, where his music and visuals come together in a more spatial and interactive way.

The experience is built as a series of spaces, each one representing a different album, placed in chronological order so the viewer can actually walk through his evolution as an artist . Each zone translates the mood and identity of an album into a physical environment through colour, objects, scale, and atmosphere. It starts with a large sculptural entrance that acts as a gateway into the world, guiding the viewer through the space and creating a sense of progression rather than just observation.

A big part of the project was experimenting with 3D modelling and sculpting to create my own visual elements instead of relying on existing assets. I focused on building stylised, slightly abstract forms that still reference Burna Boy’s visuals but feel unique to the project . Through this process, I worked with sculpting, UVs, and different simulations to add texture, movement, and depth. It was a lot of trial and error, but it helped me understand how to turn ideas into actual environments that feel cohesive.

While the project was initially intended to function as a live VR environment, it was adapted into a rendered format to ensure stability and quality without losing the core idea. The result still allows the viewer to move through the space and experience the journey as intended, combining sound, movement, and spatial design into one cohesive piece. It brings together all elements of the project into a complete and immersive interpretation of Burna Boy’s artistic world.
